A Louis Jordan inspired, pugilistic throwback to late 1940’s R&B. Dedicated to the Dean of American boxing writers, the late Mr. Eddie Muller. I wrote the song with a tom-tom intro and outro and told the drummer to “find your inner Gene Krupa or Chick Webb for the solo”. He did! And at the very end - a four note tribute to Count Basie.
